Advance Beyond Compliance is founded by Rory Gerberg. Rory holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she advanced Harvard University’s sexual assault policies and training. Rory is a nationally recognized expert who consults and trains on workplace sexual harassment prevention, as well as the challenges of diversity, equity, and inclusion.     Awarded Harvard's Holly Taylor Sargent Award for Women’s Advancement (2015) for work on sexual harassment and assault at Harvard University. Awarded an Adrienne Hall Fellowship where she developed an innovative training module and facilitator manual for Harvard University’s Office for Sexual Assault Prevention and Response.

    Published Op-Eds in the Boston Globe and Harvard Kennedy School Review, and has been featured in the New York TimesAssociated PressNPR, ForbesCBS This Morning, Quartz, Politico, Al Jazeera, and Slate. Speaking engagements span industries, from the California Employment Lawyers Association to the American Medical Informatics Association, to the United States Army.

  • DEI Consulting

    Consulted on diversity, equity, and inclusion including through DEI audits; 3-year DEI Strategies; inclusive hiring and interviewing training and consulting; inclusive culture training; and the development of employee handbooks.

  • Restorative Justice

    Worked in Peru, Colombia, and Guatemala on post-conflict policies, programs, and practices to address sexual violence and promote gender equity. Researched collective reparations for widespread harm.
